Last summer, thousands of tie-dyed Burners and Patagonia-clad tech founders converged on the MAPS Psychedelic Science conference in Denver. The experience "broke the spell of this trauma, and she was able to rebuild her life," Doblin told The Guardian . The video team's job was to store recordings of every MDMA therapy session performed in the clinical trials. Grof believes in something called an "inner healing intelligence," an innate capacity for self-healing that psychedelic therapy helps unleash. Another time, a patient who had come to an MDMA therapy session later acknowledged they had been under the influence of LSD during treatment.

CNN —Star quarterback Aaron Rodgers is expected to participate in the New York Jets’ offseason training activities (OTAs) later this month without “any restrictions,” his franchise’s coach Robert Saleh said on Friday, per the NFL website. But the Jets ultimately missed the postseason and the timeline for his rehabilitation shifted and now Rodgers seems to be on track for beginning the 2024 NFL season fully fit, with a full offseason of training under his belt. The 40-year-old will fully participate in phase three of the OTAs, Saleh said, in which teams can conduct 10 days of 11-on-11 drills without any contact during a four week period. “I know he’s had a couple prior engagements that he’s taking care of, but he’s here, he’s working,” Saleh said. Boyle in turn was cut after he failed to turn things around and the Jets returned to Wilson.

The event marks a critical moment for Kennedy’s White House bid that could accelerate his efforts to gain ballot access in all 50 states. His vice presidential pick will also be tasked with broadening Kennedy’s appeal and helping raise money for his big-spending campaign. Kennedy campaign ballot access attorney Paul Rossi suggested Nevada Democrats were attempting to block Kennedy from gaining ballot access in the state – a claim the secretary of state’s office rejected. “Vice presidential candidates don’t tend to push elections very far, even for the major-party candidates. “I would never choose a vice presidential candidate based on how much money they have,” Kennedy said in a NewsNation interview last week.

Many states require independent candidates to name a running mate before they can seek access to the ballot, a factor driving the early push for Kennedy to make a pick. Major party candidates generally don't pick vice presidential nominees until closer to their summer conventions. Ventura, a former professional wrestler, shocked observers when he won the race for Minnesota governor as an independent candidate in 1998.

Last year, Australia became the first country in the world to legalize clinical prescribing of MDMA, more commonly known as ecstasy, and psilocybin for certain mental health disorders. Elite athletes experience mental health disorder symptoms and psychological distress at similar, if not higher, rates to the general population, researchers pointed out in a study published in the Journal of Applied Sport Psychology. Researchers in the field say that psychedelics are shown to work when treating some mental health conditions. Later, he founded Wesana Health, a biotechnology company which focuses on developing psychedelic medicine for mental health, the most recent being a CBD and psilocybin-based drug. Since her retirement as a professional athlete, Symonds explains that she uses psychedelic drugs for clarity, though not under the direction of a doctor.

Disney's Bob Iger got out of a jam with two of his biggest stars: Jimmy Kimmel and Pat McAfee. AdvertisementThere aren't a lot of media moguls who could get out of a jam involving two of their biggest stars and accusations of pedophilia. It's unclear when McAfee intends to bring Rodgers back or if he ever will; ESPN reps declined to comment. One of the reasons is that while Disney and ESPN are reported to be paying McAfee $85 million over five years to bring his daily talk show to ESPN, McAfee isn't a Disney employee. And certainly not one about one of ESPN's biggest stars, who's supposed to represent its path to the future.

McAfee implied Williamson may have leaked the idea for the story to New York Post reporter Andrew Marchand. That is just seemingly the only human that has information and then somehow that information gets leaked, and it's wrong." ESPN management values the importance of McAfee and Williamson and is looking into why McAfee denigrated an executive, according to a person familiar with the matter. "At the same time, we are thrilled with the multi-platform success that we have seen from the Pat McAfee Show across ESPN. The New York Post previously reported that McAfee has paid Rodgers "millions" to appear on his show.

Jets QB Aaron Rodgers has sparked a controversy with his latest quip about comedian Jimmy Kimmel. CNN —Just 11 weeks after new New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers had surgery to repair his torn left Achilles tendon, head coach Robert Saleh announced the soon-to-be 40-year-old could now return to practice. Rodgers could participate in limited practices that include throwing to teammates but would not include any contact, Saleh said. According to NFL.com, the Jets have 21-day window to evaluate Rodgers in practice while he remains on the injured reserve list. “If the answer is no, then I gotta listen to my body.” Aaron Rodgers on TuesdayThe 4-7 Jets have six games left in the regular season. News of Rodgers’ seemingly miraculous recovery has social media abuzz, with even NBA superstar LeBron James marveling at the quarterback’s possible return.

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (AP) — Miami safety Jevon Holland called the MetLife Stadium turf “trash” after teammate Jaelan Phillips injured his right Achilles tendon in the Dolphins' 34-13 win over the New York Jets on Friday. Phillips was carted from the field late in the fourth quarter, a non-contact injury that reignited the turf-vs.-grass debate among players. MetLife Stadium changed its surface — which had been widely criticized because of injuries — before this season. Dolphins running back Raheem Mostert was a member of the San Francisco 49ers when he was injured in 2020 and teammates Solomon Thomas, now with the Jets, and Nick Bosa both suffered season-ending injuries on the previous MetLife Stadium turf. We've got to do something about this turf and this playing surface.

LAS VEGAS (AP) — New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers said his goal is to return from a torn Achilles tendon by mid-December, NBC's Melissa Stark reported during the telecast of the Jets' game at Las Vegas on Sunday night. Rodgers had hinted recently he hopes to return before the end of the season, but this is the most specific he has been. He suffered what was thought to be a season-ending injury in the opener against the Buffalo Bills. However, Rodgers, who was on the sideline, told Stark he “just wasn’t feeling it” about throwing passes during pregame warmups as he has the last several weeks. Rodgers said he has been working on a weight-limiting treadmill, jogging at 50% of his body weight.

MILWAUKEE (AP) — The first sign of discontent regarding Craig Counsell’s decision to leave the Milwaukee Brewers to manage the Chicago Cubs appeared in his hometown at the Little League field that bears his name. The sign was covered up Tuesday morning, one day after the Cubs landed Counsell with a five-year deal worth over $40 million. “I give Craig credit for helping to build that, and for adding all these coaches, all of whom have stayed. Counsell told the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel on Tuesday the opportunity for a new professional challenge and the proximity of Chicago made this opportunity appealing. Neitzel said he believed Attanasio would have received most of the criticism if Counsell had ended up managing any opponent other than the Cubs.

GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) — The Green Bay Packers are like a finicky old car that needs several hits to the ignition before finally making some progress. That helps explain why the Packers (2-4) carry a three-game skid into Sunday's home matchup with the Minnesota Vikings (3-4). But it’s tougher to pin down why the Packers struggle so much at the start of games. “I think guys kind of take a breath and, as the game goes on, they just feel more comfortable and start executing better,” Stenavich said. Love believes once the Packers get that “monkey off your back” by making a big play early, the first-half points might start coming in bunches.
